We just moved to Eureka. To add a vendor contact name, it seems we need to have "Vendor Performance" activated. Is this correct?

Correct, you have to activate the plugin first. Keep in mind that a vendor contact is not the same as a user, so vendor contacts will not create new users.

Vendor Contacts are used for Vendor Performance Management and Vendor Ticketing. If you are simply looking to identify and track information for users who work for the vendor, you can still add them as users. As Zalan states, these are different records.

Thanks. We want to identify and track the account rep for each vendor, but don't have a "contact name" field available when adding a vendor to the system. How is this done? If we add the account rep as a user, how is it pulled forward to the vendor record?

Two things you can do here:
- Add the Company field to the User form. Then you can select the Vendor as the contact's company.
- Add the User related list to the Company record. This allows you to see the Users (your account rep) from the Vendor's Company record.
