VMware discovery - get the network adapter type

Hi -

Looking in our vCenter environment, I see associated with the Network Adapters attached to Virtual Machines is an "Adapter Type".  An example value for this is vmxnet 3.  I don't see that this is picked up by ServiceNow discovery.

Any recommendations for pulling it into the CMDB?

Thanks!

Adapter type is not an available attribute on the network adaptor class. You must be talking about something else.

Hi Doug - thanks for getting back to me.    How would you refer to the item in the attached screenshot?

So assuming that is the virtual instance, we manage that through the VMWare - vCenter VM NICs probe with associated script includes and sensors.  Checked those and we do not capture that type value.  I wouldn't recommend it at all but you could see if you can tweak those queries and parsing to see if you can capture it , if its really necessary as we get pretty much everything OOB.
