On my production service maps, I have noticed that load balancer status becomes stale if load balancers are not discovered using horizontal discovery. I have noticed that the status of the hardware CI affects which LB Service (from the active or the standby LB server) is selected by Service Mapping to be displayed.
Some of the LB Services on the map are associated with Entry points and others are internal to the map.
I am running the OOTB Load Balancer Discovery schedule daily, but the Load Balancers don't seem to be rediscovered by this schedule. What does this schedule actually do to keep the Load Balancer Server CIs fresh?

Hello Jim,
So the load balancer scheduler is for the planning module of service mapping. To populate all the data you need for those other ones you will need to setup a schedule of Configuration Item and run it against the management ip ranges of your load balancers. This should keep things up to date in the back-end. Hope this helps.
