When i discover duplicate CIs we move them to Retired. Discovery is changing the back to installed

Hi , When i discover CI i move them to Retired. Discovery is changing the back to installed. Can anyone suggest please how to fix this? Thank you.

can you check why the duplicate CIs are coming? usually, it is some key attribute of the CI that's not matching, so the 'duplicate' records do not get reconciled. that's your real problem.

 

Discovery's job is to collect the data and provide it - if the CI is online/active/operational, the install-status would be set as 'installed' - nothing wrong there.
