Consider a platform application such as Pega. Pega has RPAs which it runs to fulfill specific functions for business.
Pega itself, a platform, is a Business Application or possibly a Technical Service. The RPAs fulfill a specific business function which results in information being made available to external customers via a web portal.
So, as a Business Application, we can set the Architecture Type to Platform, that is well and good; however, what about the RPAs? Business Service Offering? Batch Job? I do not believe their meet the definition of a Business Application (taking that from CSDM). Might they also be technical services since they underpin a business service offering but do so w/o the external client ever having knowledge of or interacting with the RPA itself.
