Windows Installed updates - Discovery

Hello Anyone,

I am trying to discover the list of installed software along with systems installed updates packages. I have been successful in getting the list of installed software (basically everything that i see under add/remove programs) but i am unable to get a list of any packages/hotfixes/ installed windows updates.

Following is what i have done,

- Discovery properties options:

                    Discover Software packages option ( checked)

                      Windows Software filter option ( unchecked) to avoid filtering

- Ran discovery successfully and i was able to discover the list of software installed on the system - (that showed up under programs and features)

             

What i need help on :

I want to include installed updates as well, which include information regarding hot fixes and package updates as show below but can see to find a way to get that info.

Along with the discovery properties changes listed above, i have also included the registry path where these package KB information resides in the Windows -software installed Probe

But i still cant see that information flowing through. Has anyone come across that issue, or has any input regarding how this can be resolved?

Hi All,

In my environment i am not able to get any data in through the windows Installed Software probe.

I checked the above properties also but it is not providing any result.

Also SAM is not installed in the environment so i am sure the data needs to be captured in this.

COuld any one help me in this.

Do i need to check any other property with this.

Can anyone share information on building a probe for patch discovery please?
