Dear Community,
I am sure some of you have had asks from ITIL users that they want to be able to close SCTasks in bulk without opening a record. Of course, we all know that this is possible to do in a list view with all standard attributes, but what should we do when there is a need to perform an action on a variable prior closing a task? In other words, we need to close SCTask without opening its record and there are mandatory variables on the SCTask side that should be filled first. Can we do something about it? How can we simplify life of Service Desk so they don't need to go to each individual task separately, if all the task of similar nature?
As far as I know, it is not possible to add variables of the item to the list view for the SC_task table to manipulate in bulk.
So, I thought that we could use report that later on we can put on a dashboard for ITIL users to edit. But apparently, OOB ITIL users as well as Admins can edit everything else on such report just not a variable:
This is also true for OOB scenario:
Question is "Is there a way to bulk close SCTasks without opening a record, when there is further input required on SCTask specific variables?"
Thank you,
Viktoriia
