Our desk side support teams use the global search all the time to look for requests and incidents.
They have now asked to be able to enter a CI in the search. I have read the wiki and searched here and don't see a way to add
a new table to the global search.
Has anyone done this?

When you do a search you'll see a link on the top right that says "Edit Search Groups".
This will take you to the list of tables the global search searches through. Click New and fill out the roles you want to be able to search this table. Once you save you'll see "Text Search Tables", add CMDB to this.
Keep in mind that adding tables with a considerable number of entries will increase the response time for search results.

Hi Zach
I did that by adding 2 tables in global search groups. When i search with a keyword, Its not finding any results. It was not searching any keyword in newly added tables. Is there any solution for that?
Thanks,
Rakesh

Is there any document from service-now for such best practices? Has anyone done this?
