additional comments on template

In my Dev instance, I created a business rule to have incidents sent to an approver, before being worked by a Technician.

The email template that seems to be used to send the email notification for approval, is 'change.itil.approve.role'. I added Comments to the 'Message HTML' section. But, that does not seem to help add the 'Additional Comments' to the approver. Alas, I also cannot find 'additional Comments' from the variables section Fields.

Am I over thinking this?

Hmm, maybe I just don't understand. But, to me, the content on that link is a little advanced (for me at least). To be honest, I merely want to add 'additional comments' to any template. In this case, merely the template I am working on. This should not be this difficult.

I just find it strange that in the field choices for notifications, I cannot see 'additional comments', as a choice.
