AI Search on portal not working for suggested and recently opened

Hi All,

I have an issue with 'Recently viewed' navigation
1. Open /esc portal
2. Enter some search input like apple, email and select an entry from the "Recently Viewed" items.

It opens new page which gives about:blank but, when we open the same link from "Suggestion" - it works fine.

Can you let me know what is the issue and how to resolve it ?

Hi Aman,

This looks like a known ServiceNow defect, PRB2039564. It affects the Typeahead Search widget where items under Recently Viewed can open about:blank, while Suggested results still work.

The issue is reported for Zurich Patch 10 and Australia Patch 3. ServiceNow provides a workaround through KB3148324 using an update set that changes the link script in the Typeahead Search widget. I'd test that first in a sub production instance before moving it to production.
