Archiving Related records

Hi,

I am just trying to archive incident records with related Affected CI's.

I created a Archive rule, which works expected and archives incidents as per my condition.

I have added new Archive related record rule and selected Reference as Affected CI's and the Reference table is task_ci and reference field is task(which got populated automatically when I select reference. I don't find any other reference for Affected CI.

But my next archive iteration did not archive my related records, when I check the related record the reference field Task has become blank.

Am I missing anything here?

How can I verify if related records are archiving?

Thanks!

Regards,

Iyyappan

Can you clarify what you are trying to archive? And can you paste screen shot of your rule you created? I read this as you want to archive CI's, but choose the Affected CI's table.

Hi,

I am trying to archive incidents(Closed before 2 years ago) and its related CI's.

I created the archive rule for incidents with conditions and related archive rule for Affected CI's.

But above rule archives only Incidents not its related records.

On our Change archive we use related records (change_task). I tried adding Affected CI's but they didn't work. Looking at the wiki, it says - Archive map : Displays the archive rule to which the related records apply. I assume this to mean the conditions defined Active is false, Closed 2 yrs ago also would apply to the Affected CI's but the end results is those rules don't fit the Affected CI's. So I created a new rule and that seems to work and be limited to Task.Closed 2 yrss & CI retired.

Hi i have a question on archive rules,

We have set up for incident to get the data for 3 years and i am getting the below error upon run. What could be the issue?

Unique Key violation detected by database (Duplicate entry 'ar_incident' for key 'table_name')
