Assessment Survey :Instance could not be created

HI,

I have an assessment and when I attempt to assign the assessment to an any user,I receive the following response from ServiceNow: Instance could not be created.

Any ideas on how I can assign the assessment or avoid this error message? I tracked the message down to UI page "select_user_assessment", but not able to understand the issue.

I found the solution: When you assign an assessment for the first time you must make sure that you have categories attached in the related list.   You most likely created the Assessment -> Metric Definition -> Cateogires after you created the Metric Definition Type.   Now that you're assigning the assessment you must make sure to put the types into the Assessable record.

Please provide steps to replicate issue with some screen shots if possible to understand the details.


If you check any OOB assessments that is On demand,there is a UI action, Assign Assessment for assigning it to users. Whne clicked on it, it opens a dialog box to select users whom the assessment is needed to be sent to. When you click OK, it should says on the top of page, Instance could not be created.

Make sure you have generated the assessable records before assigning to the user . Open your assessment -> set the conditions ->   click on the "Generate Assessable records" -> Assign the assessment to the user



Also navigate to select_user_assessment ui page and   add debug message to understand   which line its not getting the expected value .
