Hi,
I'm trying to understand exactly how the Service Order [sm_order] table is used in ServiceNow. I have checked the docs, but it still unsure of the wider context of this table.
The definition I have sourced is the following:
The sm_order table is a table that stores information about service requests, work orders, and change requests that are managed through the Service Management application. Each record in this table represents a request or order for a service or change, and it contains information such as the requester, the assigned workgroup, the priority, the status, and the planned start and end dates of the request or order.
Would a record be created in this table for something like a request where a change need to be applied? Does the table store records for when a change request is raised?
NB. There’s a field named ‘reschedule_maintenance_if_canceled’ which is Boolean. We are trying to establish the context in how this is used? Does the value imply a past or future event? i.e. does it indicate it “has-been” rescheduled, or does it indicate it is “to-be” rescheduled?
