Catalog Item fulfillment flow is not being triggered

I built a catalog item, but after submission the fulfillment flow is not being kicked off. The request and RITM exist but no approval and no tasks.

Hi @KarsonD

1)

  • Open the Request (REQ) record linked to your RITM.
  • Check the Approval field.
  • If it says Requested or Not Yet Requested, the fulfillment flow is intentionally blocked.
  • Manually approve the REQ record to see if your RITM flow immediately kicks off.

2) Open Flow Designer -> Executions to see if an error or an unhandled exception killed the flow context silently right after launching

3)Ensure you only have one Process engine defined. Having both a Workflow and a Flow selected simultaneously will conflict and prevent tasks from firing

4) Ensure you have not touched/deactivated any OOB BR on sc_request/sc_req_item. All other flow is working fine.

Have you ever created a Catalog Item Flow in ServiceNow's Flow Designer, only to find that it won't start or trigger when you really need it to? It can be frustrating, but don't worry - you're not alone. In this video, we'll explore the common reason why this happens and discuss a couple of ways ...

You might to double check that the latest version of the Flow you built is Active/Activated
