Good day to all.
I was looking to see if anyone has successfully implemented a Change Freeze calendar.
What our business partners are looking for are that if a Change area {software or hardware} is in a freeze period, it will require VP approval.
I have created freeze calendars using the Blackout Schedule and referenced that back on the change form.
What I'm wondering now is if I will need to create a workflow to to correctly run the approval...
Thoughts and ideas are welcome!
Thank you
Scott

I dont know if you are still waiting for the anser, but several years back we had implemented Freeze Calendar for Change Management. It was a custom solution but it worked flawlessly.
We created a custom table and gave the access to Change Managers to add Freeze Schedule. Now if a change start date or end date collided with the freeze schedule, we used to send an additional approval to the Freeze manager (and we also used to show a popup with relevant message)
If Freeze manager approved, it would go ahead.

This sounds like something that i am looking into. We have a change freeze period (EOY) but would like to manage it with the tool instead of manually. I am looking for more information about how to implement in order to work with our support team to get it implemented. Any documentation would be helpful.
