Change the order of variables on catalog task form

Hi friends,

I have created a few variables on catalog form :

variable name              order

Name                            100

Emp ID                          200

City                                300

Requested Item             400

.............  total 25 variables

Some of these variables are displayed on catalog task form and other variables are hidden.

Now, my requirement on catalog task form is that the variable which has order = 900 on catalog form should be displayed at TOP on catalog task form.

Is it possible ?

Please suggest

Hi,
Simple answer is NO.
The order remains the same as you set while creating the catalog unless you change it again. If you will change it will also change at RITM level.

Hi @Asmita7 ,

No we cannot seperately change the order for showcasing variables on task form. The order whatever u have set while creating the variables will be showcased similarly on RITM or task Level.

One work around I could recommend but will take extra effort from your end would be to create an extra variable with similar display name but diff backend name. Make it hidden on Catalog item level(form level) & RITM level using UI policy n just display it on Task level again using UI policy. That way u can keep that variables order as the lowest so that it can appear at the top.

Thanks,

Danish

Hi, I believe issue with order. I'm seeing 100 is the difference for every variable. Instead of can you define the difference as 150. I.e., 150, 300, 450, 600 etc., for each variables and check.

Suresh.
