In the Istanbul and jakatra release came the concept of CMDB groups. anyone using them with change ? and how are you using them?

Hi Eric, wish I could help, but have the same question.
In the CI field in CHG, I want users to be able to select a group, and then all CIs within that group to populate the 'affected CIs' related list.
We tried overriding the reference qualifier with "sys_class_name=cmdb_ci_server^ORsys_class_name=cmdb_group" but this didn't work.
If you have had any luck, please share

@Michael - You are referring to the CI Group, not the CMDB Group. They are different. CMDB Group is a new feature in Istanbul. The ServiceNowGuru script you are using uses the cmdb_ci_group class, which is actually a CI. The CMDB Group class doesn't work like this, because it cannot be used as a CI itself.

Appears the tables are different, but looking at it, seems like similar functionality to legacy groups. Difference is this looks smarter. You can build a query and looks like it will auto add to the group versus manually having to update all the time when new devices are added.
