I'd like to know what CMDB-related features are available with the ServiceNow ITSM license.
For example, I'm considering identifying affected CIs.
I'd also like to know if there are any other CMDB-related features available or that can help optimize IT operations.

Hi @MiY ,
With the ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) license, you have access to foundational CMDB-related features that help manage and optimize IT operations effectively. Here are some key CMDB capabilities and benefits available with ITSM:
CMDB Features Available with ITSM License
Identification and Management of Configuration Items (CIs)
Affected CI Identification
Relationship Mapping Between CIs
Change and Incident Management Integration
Data Health and Quality Dashboards
Basic Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM)
Additional CMDB-related Features That Help IT Operations Optimization
Service Mapping (may require ITOM license)
Process Automation and Orchestration
Data Discovery Integration
Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
The ServiceNow ITSM license provides robust CMDB capabilities essential for IT service and operations management—especially identification of affected CIs, impact and risk analysis, and integration with change and incident processes. For advanced capabilities like dynamic service mapping or automated discovery, additional ITOM licenses may be required.
These features help optimize IT operations by improving visibility, accelerating incident resolution, enabling risk-aware changes, and maintaining CMDB data quality aligned with ITIL best practices
