Conditional Catalog Item Selection in Order Guide Integration

Dear Community,

I need to integrate a new onboarding process into the existing one.
Currently, we use an order guide with five catalog items. However, the new entity will not need to complete or use one of these catalog items.

Is it possible to make a catalog item optional based on a variable from another catalog item? Additionally, can we automatically reject the RITM based on a variable?

I imagine that I could use a flow to intercept the catalog item and make the necessary changes right after submitting the order guide, but I would like to know if you have any other ideas for bypassing a catalog item in an order guide based on a variable.

Looking forward to your insights.

Kind regards,
Gdo

Hi @gdo

I think you might be on the wrong track. It’s not possible to hide an item directly based on the item variable alone. Instead, we can hide or show the item based on the order guide variable. You can either configure the item to appear based on the order guide or add the variable from the item to the order guide for conditional visibility.

I only see the variables of the order guide, not of the catalog item inside it.
I want to : depending on selection of a varaible inside the catalog item inside the order guide to hide or not another catalog item (which is inside the order guide too)

Thank you, I think that I might succeed with a flow but I was looking for any alternatives.
The flow will be triggered when a submitted catalog item will have a a specific value in a variable and will update the task in the optionnal catalog item as rejected, to cancel the catalog item process and reject the RITM as it's not needed.
Very grateful for your help !
