I added a macro field on record producer and configured as follows. This doesn't display on the record producer. Also by default what value does it take for the search to work. Is there a field I need to define?

@samadam you need to perform 2 steps to get this done.
- Create a variable of type custom and select widget Contextual Search - Inline Results under type specifications - This you already did as per your screenshot
- Create a new entry in Contextual Search > Record Producer Configuration and you can define which field in your record producer should return the contextual search results.
I did the above 2 steps in my PDI and I got the contextual search results.

Hi,
I'd recommend double-checking that widget to ensure it hasn't been altered or adjusted, such as where the dependencies related list, angular providers related list, and angular ng-templates related list is missing records associated to it.
To change the field used for contextual search, you can visit: https://docs.servicenow.com/en-US/bundle/utah-platform-administration/page/administer/contextual-sea...
