Create a missing asset record for an existing CI

We have a physical server that was created manually back in 2014.   It did not get an Asset record created for some reason.

The CMDB CI has 245 updates and has been linked to multiple CHG and INC tickets, so we can't delete it.

How do we get an Asset record created for this system?

There is also a ui action that is OOB called Create Asset (on the cmdb_ci table).   Currently it is only available when "unverified" = true (if enforce ci verification is used)...however, I am sure your admins can utilize this same code to allow you to create missing assets.

Hope that helps.

Hello Philip.

You should have an admin create the Asset record and link the CI to the Asset. You may not have the privilege to create and link the records yourself.

I can be done in 2 -3 mins.
