I have a Dashboard with several incident reports. I setup a Breakdown on the dashboard for Groups and it appropriately filters all the incident reports. However, I also have an inventory report running off of the cmdb_ci_hardware table. The breakdown does not seem to affect that list report like it does all the incident reports even though we use the same group name in incidents and hardware.
For example, the group is MEIT, under incidents that goes in the Assignment Group field. Under hardware it goes in the Support Group field.
I'm still learning breakdowns and their impacts on reports, but is this just a limitation that it will not filter two different fields on different reports, or do I need to do something differently?

Hi @Shayden_GT
you are right. This is a restriction. You only can apply breakdowns to reports which have the same field (for example, assignment group). Otherwise, you would need a mapping and this is not implemented in ServiceNow.

Hi @Shayden_GT ,
On the automated breakdown you have mapped the assignment group. Likewise you can also do a mapping on the cmdb_ci_hardware table to the support group, hence you will be able to filter the cmdb_ci_hardware at the same time. Please see screenshot below from my PDI:
