Different display value on 2 reference fields

Hi, I have 2 fields that reference the location table. I would like the display value on the form to be different than the other field. Is there any way to achieve this as I can only change the display value of both and not just 1?

I would like to understand the business use-case for this?

The only option is to control the display value at Table level which would be platform wide changes

Why not have another string field to store your value and render that on form?
