Discovery Cisco IP Phone

I am trying to discover a few of our Cisco IP phones on our network. I enter the direct IP and get "Alive, Not classified". Is there anything specific I need to do to discover IP phones. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone have a solution to discover Cisco IP Phones without going through the CCM server? Thank you.

I'd like to know if there is a good way to discover Cisco IP Phones as well, either through CCM or from the devices themselves. We have 100s of phones deployed on our networks and we'd like to get a better picture of our phone inventory in SN to avoid having to rely so much on old methods like Excel spreadsheets, etc. to try to keep up with what is deployed. Not to mention manual methods like that are prone to being out of date very quickly.
