SCENARIO:

Now that Cloud Dimensions has successfully discovered its Windows MID Server, it would like to further discover other Windows and Linux targets in their environment. In order to be successful, valid credentials must be entered into ServiceNow to allow Discovery access to targets.

REQUIREMENT:

As the Cloud Dimensions ServiceNow Discovery administrator, you are tasked to create a Windows and Linux credential using the following information:

NOTE: When working with credentials, it is highly recommended that it is the sole responsibility of the customer to enter and manage any and all credentials in the ServiceNow instance.

Windows Credential:

Type: Windows Credentials

Name: Windows Servers

User name: workgroup\administrator

Password: 1G00dDemo (one, capital G, zero, zero, lower d, upper D, lower emo)

Test credential: 198.51.12.119

SSH Credential:

Type: SSH Credential

Name: Linux Servers

User name: disco

Password: Rdisco01 (upper case R, lower case disco, zero, one)

Test credential: 198.51.188.74

VERIFICATION:

Before validating the task, verify the following:

  • IMPORTANT: After testing each credential, confirm a Credential validated message is displayed
        before moving on to the next tasks as they are dependent on the credentials working!

For the above task , I have created the credetial record for  Windows Credential & SSH Credential . when i have click on the test connection getting below attached window.  and port numbers are not available in the task. please help me on this

Please make sure the mid server is up and running and the IP provided is accessible from your mid server and then try. if any issue raise ticket to learning support team to fix your lab environment issues.
