Does ServiceNow charge for building custom apps ?

We are creating a Custom Application for our Purchasing department so that they can track their Order details.

In order to achieve the requirement we have created few tables and accordingly created Applications and Modules in left navigation bar and provided application specific roles to the Purchasing team. I am aware that ServiceNow will charge based on Users with roles.

Since ServiceNow has introduced lot of changes in their charging model thus could someone please clear if they charge for platform usage as well ? I assume that they don't.charge.

Hi Ashishsharma,

If it's a complete custom application you are most likely looking at Platform Runtime licences. There is a possibility it could be counted against ITSM as Procurement is included, but it will depend on the scope of the changes. Like most things price-related, it's always best to talk to your account manager.

Cost applicable if you do process automation. Licensing will be keep on changing from version to version and varies for each customer. So it is always best practise reach out to your representative.
