Draft feature for Record Producer

Has anyone implemented a draft state feature for Record Producer,if yes then please share the way or is it possible to have this for record producer or not.

Thanks so much for taking our questions. We (@limedzeze  ) were able to get the Save as Draft button added to the portal, but how do you send the status value through the record producer?

We want to send a value of status=draft, when the Save as Draft button is clicked and status=submitted when the regular Submit button is clicked. 

We have been successful adding a field to the form where the user can select either draft or submit, but that just works with the single Submit button. 

Is is possible to pass the different statuses via the two buttons?
