Editing a Notification

We'd like to have the comments for SCTASKS updated to reflect the REQ number.

Real world example:

Robin opens REQ0015131. She receives an email notification mentioning this REQ number.

This creates RITM0015975.

This creates SCTASK0016100.

I respond to SCTASK0015975 asking for more info. She receives an email that makes no mention of REQ0015131.'d like to have the comments for SCTASKS updated to reflect the REQ number.

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, where this would be configured? I know where the notification logic lives, I just worry about consistently pulling the correct REQ number every time. Thanks in advance!

yes this is possible via notification on SC Task with valid trigger condition etc (since you are asking for more info, you must be updating some state etc)

Each SC TASK has link with REQ via request field available on sc_task table OOTB

So you can use that to grab the REQ number in your sc task email notification
