External Knowledge Sources

Hello all, I need to bring external knowledge sources into the knowledge base. The external source is from dev azure. I am facing errors like "Error-org.apache.jackrabbit.webdav.DAVException:Unautphorized" while running the schedule in external knowledge section. I have created the basic AUTH credentials as well. Please suggest proper way to configure External Knowledge Sources. Thanks.

Hi @Shivani_1 ,
I trust you are doing great.

Here are the steps to configure External Knowledge Sources correctly:

  1. Make sure you have the necessary credentials (username and password) to access the Azure Dev knowledge source.

  2. In ServiceNow, go to the Administration module and search for "External Knowledge Sources."

  3. Click on "New" to create a new external knowledge source.

  4. Provide a name for the knowledge source, such as "Azure Dev," and enter the appropriate URL for the Azure Dev knowledge base.

  5. Select the authentication method as "Basic" since you mentioned that you have created the basic AUTH credentials.

  6. Enter the username and password associated with your Azure Dev account.

  7. Save the configuration.
After completing these steps, try running the schedule in the external knowledge section again. If the error persists, ensure that the credentials you provided are correct and have the necessary permissions to access the Azure Dev knowledge source.
