Help configuring archive rules for hardware assets and related CIs

Happy new year!

 

Could someone please assist in configuring the archive rule for alm_hardware and the related cmbd_ci_computer.

I have created an archive rule but I need to make sure that I am doing it correctly. Here's what I have done so far:

  1. I created a rule to archive hardware:

  2. I created an Archive Related Records

  3. This part I am not sure if correct. When I ran, no ar_cmdb_ci_computer table was created, it did not run successfully.

Do I need to create an archive rule for each asset type? and for each ci class? I would like to make sure that I configure them correctly the first time.

Hi @JLeong,

 

1. Please check based on the condition are there any records which are returned by the table to ensure filter is correct.

2. If above is correct, Open the Archive rule record and click on 'Recalculate Archive Estimate' link below. It will update the Record Estimate count field and later whenever the Archival runs, records will be properly archived.
