Hello,

I would suggest reading up on import set's. This does exactly what you are asking for and provides a summary of what was added/updated.

Sarjan,

In the filter navigator type cmdb.list. On list load, left-click anywhere in the header of the list, select Import>Update>Create Excel Template to enter data>include all fields in the template>Create Excel template. Once downloaded, open the file and make any necessary changes to the required fields and save. To upload these changes, back to ServiceNow, follow the same method, sans the create Excel Template step, select file location > Upload.

Hi Derrick Johnson

Thank you for your reply.

I need to target Server form to update specific field like location rack, location rack unit and others fields.

How do i target that particular field? otherwise does service now automatically pics the data from the excel sheet refereeing to the fields in excel sheet and populate the target fields.

Use import set for your requirement, where you will have an option to map the source and target file. Refer the below docs
