Other than having the Forward Schedule of Change to communicate changes to IT, how do you handle communicating changes to the business?

We are transitioning to ServiceNow from another change management tool that automatically notifies the business of change implementations via email. To our knowledge, ServiceNow does not offer this functionality. Seeking input from others currently using ServiceNow for Change Management regarding how communication to the business is being handled for changes. Thanks.

Could you not create an email notification on the change_request table that generates an email once the change is approved and notify a user, users, distribution list what the nature of the change is and the scheduled start and end date?

Service now has lots of feature for notification .. It depends on what your are intending to do ...
Do you want to send notification once the change is approved .. Possible .. You will need to create a email notification..
Do you want to send reminder that the approval is pending from user ? Yes. Possible .. Number of ways to do that..
Do you want to send adhoc mails from tickets ? Again possible using the email icon on the ticket ....
Do you want to communicate users stating that the following are going to happen after a certain period of time ? Possible .. Create a schedule job and forecast to the users the changes that are coming ...
