Hi Guys,
Does anyone know how to sort the tickets/cards in Visual Task Board? I want to show the latest ticket/card on top of each lane.
Cheers

I did this, however, it only worked for the initial cards. Once more cards started to populate, it stopped sorting those. Have you noticed this, as well?

Interestingly enough, I went to make changes to the Swimlane to see if this would still stop sorting...turns out, when I modified the structure, it resorted based on the Filter.
So, if you see items going out of order, change the Swimlane to None and back to whatever you were using. This may work as it did for me on my quick test.

I ran into a similar issue. Rather than noticing that new cards weren't automatically sorted by the query sort order on entry to the VTB, I noticed that the board didn't override my changes when I dragged-and-dropped cards in an order contrary to the query sort order. Meaning they were no longer honoring the query sort order.
Cool, you found a workaround - forcing the board to re-initialize itself.
Hmm... Can we make that workaround fix our issue proactively by triggering it more often? I guess that'd equate to forcing a re-initialization every time A) a card is added and B) a card is moved IF the VTB's filter contains a sort order. Would that be annoying and take away from the user's experience, or would it add to it? I'm guessing it'd be annoying. Hmmmm...
Or is there a better fix?

@MB, I have a friendly challenge for you on this answer.
Your answer seems to initially work when creating a board, but not in a perpetual manner post-creation.
Following your suggestion, I load a list, apply my query and my sort, and then pull it into a VTB. The VTB, upon creation, pulls in the tasks as cards and sorts those cards vertically according to the sort order of the query.
This breaks down, however, when I drag and drop cards up and down the list. When I do so, the VTB remembers my drag-and-dropped reordering and loads the cards in that order. Meaning it's not perpetually honoring the query's sort order. In other words, mission failed... I guess?
What's your take? Do you have any suggestions, please? Thanks again for your original suggestion, much appreciated!
Kind Regards,
Joseph
