How to add a Dot Walked Field to the Available Slush bucket of Personalize List for a Custom Table.

Hi,

We have a custom Table[u_forum] and it has a Reference Field Problem which is Referring all the Problem Fields.

Now we want to add 2 Problem Fields [Problem.Root Cause & Problem.Accountable] to the Available list of Custom Table while Personalizing the List.

If I move the Field from Selected to <> Available, it is not visible under Available Section.

So, Please suggest how to add these Dot-Walked Fields to Available - Personalize List Columns and make them Visible/Available always.

Hello,

You need to add this from 'List Layout' from List, you can easily dot walk and add fields. You cannot directly add it from personalize list for reference fields by doing dot walking.

If we add these from Configuring the List Layout, the Fields will come on List and After doing that, if we click on Personalize List Fields wiil be Under Selected List. 

But our requirement is to get it Under Available Column.

See here is how it works,

* By default you can't bring reference dot walking fields from personalize list

* You can to bring and add this from list layout as mentioned in earlier reply

* So whoever has default list it will show them by default in Available list, to see if user has default list or personalized you can understand by seeing small mark either here

And if you click on gear icon this button appears

If user has personalized list then both will appear, if not then both will not appear and whatever fields you have added from list layout will be reflected in list.

Lastly, for personalized list you cannot bring those fields in Available slushbucket unless they click on 'Reset to column defaults' that's how it works. There is no other solution.

Thank You Musab for the detailed Reply.

But my requirement is not this. I need them on Available Column of Personalize List, Whenever the User wants them to see on List View he should able to select those.

On Adding the Dot Walked Fields on List Layout, I could get them on the List and Selected Column.

Need these Above Dot walked Fields on Available Column. But After Clicking OK These will disappear.
