How to create an extended "Students" table from "User[sys user]" in my scoped application?

I'm a development student and I'm doing an activity that needs to extend a "student" table from the "user[sys_user]" table, but I can't find the option to extend it anywhere.

I'm in a defined scope application (if that makes a big difference).

Your in the right place - just chose sys_user from the drop down list when you're creating your scoped application.
