Hi,
I want to automatically fill in the close notes (in the Closure Information tab) for a standard change request using a standard change template.
However, I’m unable to add this as a change request value.
Additionally, I can’t use the planned start date as a dynamic change request value.
Is there a way to resolve this?
Thanks!

Hi @boteeuwen
Initial guidance can be harmful here, because if the close code is already filled and the user clicks on 'Close Change,' they might forget to update the change date, which can lead to issues. Therefore, it is not recommended. However, if you still want to proceed, you can set it to 'Standard' and change the template accordingly

Hi @boteeuwen
Adding the close notes from a template is not a good practice, even though it’s a standard change. Until it’s successfully executed, we can’t confirm whether it’s successful or not. That’s why it shouldn’t come from the template. The planned start date is always dynamic. Please share some screenshots so I can better understand the situation.

I understand your point about the close notes and see why you'd be cautious about pre-filling them with details that might not be accurate until the change has been executed. However, my goal is to provide some initial guidance in the close notes, so the implementer knows when they can mark the close code as "successful."
