If you sub-task a new table extending sc_task? or it is sc_task table with any flag set to distinguish it?

thanks for your response, could re-phrase for me. I'm not quite sure if you are suggesting that I try something or asking if I have done it (sorry).

I'm using the word "task" and "sub-task" to distinguish between a different WBS level.
Imagine something a project with tasks like this:
1. Planning
1.1 develop PMP documentation
1.2 establish governance
1.3 deliver PMP
1.4 deliver project schedule and WBS
2. Design
2.1 GUI wireframes
2.2 GUI mock-up review
2.3 GUI validation
2.4 develop design documentation
2.5 review design documentation
2.6 deliver design documenation
3. Develop
3.1 develop code
2.1.1 develop unit test plans
2.1.2 unit test custom modules
3.2 develop test material
3.3 system test
3.4 develop training material
...you get the idea.
When I print a report, I want to see more than just Planning, Design, Develop (level 1 or "top level task info"). Perhaps I want to see down to level 3, that is, down to level X.X.X
