Hi All,
I have reference field on portal. On searching, i want the search to be like a contains search but i do not want to use * for the search, i changed the glide.ui.ref_ac.startswith to false. But it is not working, i tried glide.ui.goto_use_contains property as well but dint find anything.
Thanks,
Ginia

Hi,
did you try to create a new sys_properties glide.ui.goto_use_contains and set it as described in the documentation below?
Configure the default search behavior
I've just tried it in my own instance, it works fine!
Please read carefully the documentation, do some check and test again.

Hi Alberto,
The thing is its working in native UI. I wanted it on portal, wherein in my record producer i have a field which is reference type and i want contains search to be enabled without using asterisk.

I got your point, unfortunately at the moment this feature is not yet available on the platform, please read the Know Error below and the official Workaround provided by ServiceNow guys:
List v3 ignores glide.ui.goto_use_contains system property for reference list lookup
I would suggest the same: You can submit an Enhancement Request from the Self-Service portal on HI, and Subscribe to this article to be notified in case of future updates.
