Hey Karl,

I would do it from the list view as shown bellow

find_real_file.png

or

  1. Go to system import sets-->load data module
  2. Enter table name..chose file(.xls file)
  3. Make sure 1st row in excel match fields in your destination table.so it will automap.
  4. Then click on create transform link
  5. Give it a name, select destination table(table in which u want to upload data)
  6. Click on automap matching fields..if required fields do not match then click on mapping assist and match fields.
  7. Set coalesce true to anyone field from related list. it will be your unique field
  8. Click transform

Let me know if you have any other question!

Best,

Mokemal!

I have looked in to the import tool and can complete. What i would lie to do is add a new form in so i can determine all the new assets under a different heading, is there a way to create a new heading under portfolio which says Assets 2020 for example and create my own form to capture what is required??

Hi karl,

What you want exactly. In snow there is already table is present to store asset(alm_hardware)so why you need to store asset in your own form?
