How to Inactivate Reports?

Hi,

We have hundreds out of the box reports that are visible under view Reports. Most of these are for modules we don't use, how can I "inactivate" them.

I don't want to delete them as we might want them in the future or keep historical reports we used. Our "real" reports gets lost in the giant list.

Most items and tickets have an active flag but I can't find one for reports?

I guess one work around is to assign most of the GLOBAL reports to a role that no one has, though that changes the report and you loose traceability.

Also it doesn't help the Admin (which is me).

If this doesn't exit currently how do one suggest this for the next version?

Hi,

Reports do not have active state, so you cannot deactivate them. You can only deactivate scheduled reports, but that's not helping on your request.

What release are you using? In Fuji reports have been grouped by default and it's already easier to view them:

We are on the latest Eureka patch

Upgrading to Fuji might give you a better option for reports as you can see in my previous post screenshot. I would recommend you upgrade your subproduction to Fuji and see if you like how reports are displayed.

You can always clone back subproduction from prod if you want to go back to Eureka.

Hi thereseg,

As Sergiu wrote, there is no active flag on the reports and so they can't be deactivated.

Proposed workarounds for now include, like you suggested, assigning a new role to the reports that no one has (or assign to only to admins). You could also assign it to the ITIL user or similar, but in my opinion the role assignment is a slightly better solution.
