How to reuse existing variables

Hello Team,

I have a VPN request catalog form in which I have 12 variables. I have a requirement where I have to use this catalog's WF in another form. Is there anyway I can copy those variables from VPN form to Onboarding form without affecting the existing VPN catalog form. Or How can I create a new variable set which have all those existing variables from VPN form. I don't want to alter the existing variables in VPN form.

Hello Sonesh,

You can create a new Variable Set, then open each variables within the VPN form that you want to reuse in a list view. Update  value on the Variable Set Field and remove its value from Catalog Item and you should be all set to reuse your new variable set.

Also make sure any UI policies or client scripts are migrated into your variable set.

Hi Alikutty, 

Thanks for the response. The problem which I have with this solution is that it affects existing catalog form variables and I don't want to alter anything in existing form as that is in use.

What impact are you expecting? You are not deleting or renaming the variables. They are being moved to a different variable set but they still exist on the form or item and will work like before
