How to update quantity in consumables

Once I have the consumable assets created with quantity, how can I update the quantity if I recieve more? I see if the same model/model category and stockroom record is created it merges but I am trying to see if there is any other way to just update quantity.

Samadam, 

          The Best Practice is to create new consumable record(s) to update the quantity in one stockroom or another. However, if you want to manually update this number you can add the role(s) that would need to update this to the ACL: alm_asset.quantity. Also, remember to update the price if you update the quantity.
