I'm having an order guide issue with mandatory fields

On our order guide, there are 2 default items that get ordered every time. The first one (first tab) has 2 required fields and the second one (second tab) has 3 required fields. On the second one, the fields are set to mandatory via the actual variable. However, there is a certain use case where a user can submit the order guide without filling in these fields. So, when the support team gets the task the fields are blank. I am not able to reproduce this actual use case in our non-prod instances. The closest I came was to fill in one field and go back to the first tab, and then check out.

I tried setting the fields to mandatory using a UI policy, but the order guide can be submitted with out ever clicking on that tab. What am I missing? Is this a bug? Has this happened to others?

no great advice unfortunately. Just did a LOT of debugging. Have it print or alert the state along the way so you can see what it "thinks" the value is and determine if there is something making the system thing that those fields have been 'changed' when they are really still blank.

Did you ever find a solution? I'm having the same type of issue where some catalog items work fine with one order guide but not another. The fields are defined as mandatory so UI Policies are not an issue.

Are your variables shown coming from a variable set? I've had a few weird issues where I would use a variable set and mandatory would not be honored across all of the items in the order guide.
Luckily I've only had to encounter this a few times, but the only workaround I could find would be re creating the vars outside of the set.

Do you have a solution for this?
I am experiencing the same issue, the asterisks disappears on the tabs when the first form's mandatory field is populated. The other form tabs (if they have the same name mandatory field) reset to no asterisks enabling the order guide to check out without enforcing the mandatory fields on those other forms.
