Is there a way to OOB tell if an incident was created by a template?

It was deiced that this was not needed. However I think the easiest way would be to create a true/false filed and have the person who create the templates set it to true in all their templates. He only allow management to create templates so that would work for us.

Two Questions for you
Question 1:
We are wanting to use this with a template we use to regularly communicate using the the Customer Communications feature. Wanting to ensure this would work for that, and once this is built out I am assuming we would then be able to report on and filter with the Template IDs as a new option in the Incident table. Is this correct?
Question 2:
I checked the site you linked but it seems a bit out of date. Which makes me wonder if this still all holds true with the newest SN ROME release? Do you have any current information regarding this that we can pass to our team to help create this custom field and/or details on using it?

We are talking about two different things here. I was talking about the templates in toggle template bar. You are talking abound communication templates which from what I have seen is a different beast and may have way more functionality. I have not used communication templates so I do not know for sure. I would suggest posting your own question.

Hi,
No we don't have OOB feature to know if a record was create dby template or not.
But,we can create certain customizations to recors if the it was done using temlate or not:
for eg.1.pushing certain text in worknotes when the template is being applied
2.Creating anew field to capture the template ID when the template is being applied
