Implement E-signature on a table.

Hello all,

 I am trying to implement the E-signature functionality to the dms_document table.

I have created some documents in the document management module(dms_document).                                                    I have also created an E-signature template. Now, I want to link the documents to that e-signature template. I am not sure how to trigger the e-signature template to request signatures from the required users from the document management table(dms_document).

Right now, I have created a workflow to go through an approval process from different users.

Here are the requirements. Ingest an external document into servicenow and have the document go through an approval process. I also need that document to be signed (e-signed) by each approvers. 

I read the documentation on E-signature and document management but I think I am missing something.

Create or modify an e-signature template to define an electronic document and signature configuration for use in task forms. Each template is associated with a document type such as a managed document or knowledge article, and you can configure the template so that the signatory is required to sign the document with their typed or drawn signature, credentials, or as an acknowledgment.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_esign.admin or sn_esign.config_manager

Procedure

1. Navigate to E-signature > E-signature template.
2. Click New or open a record.
3. Fill in the fields on the form.
4. Click Submit or Update.

Hello Pooja,

Do you know if there is a way to insert the e-signature onto the PDF document? Or is this E-signature application only for acknowledgement purposes.

Hey Max!

Did you ever get the signature onto the PDF with e-signature plugin. I can't seem to get the signature on the actual pdf after I "sign the document".

Any help would be appreciated!
