Is it possible to drag and drop attachments from RITM to Outlook or trigger Outlook with attachment

Hi everyone,

 

I am looking for a way to streamline how users share attachments from a Requested Item (RITM) in ServiceNow. Ideally, I'd like to:

1. Drag and drop an attachment directly from the RITM record into an Outlook email (desktop or web), without downloading the file.
2. Or have a UI Action/button in the RITM form that opens a new Outlook email with the attachment already included.


Has anyone implemented something like this or found a workaround/plugin that supports this kind of integration?

 

Any tips, examples, or suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi @AnushaAkara,

 

I know this is working upon Approvals, there are Accept and Reject buttons in the OOTB notification records. You can get inspiration from these two...

 

I don't have an available PDI at the moment to give you more details.
