Is Project Management module a free plugin or we need to subscribe?

We are planning to build Project Management in ServiceNow. Is the current Project Management plugin comes free with basic ServiceNow or we need to subscribe it?

Hi Sanjiv,

The plugin is not available with the basic subscription. This needs to be activated separately with a separate cost for Customer instances.

Hi Sanji,

The Project Management can currently only be activated with the Project Portfolio Suite with Financials. It comes with a whole family of cross-linked functionalities related to Business Management: Demand, Idea, Finance, Program, Test, Agile SDLC Portfolio and Resources Management. Some years ago it was possible to activate individual feature, but that's not the case anymore.

This plugin impacts your license cost.

There are two main roles that you need to be aware, and a third that you should probably ignore:

• Workers: Projects fulfillers, cost is about 1/3 of an ITIL fulfiller.
• Planner: Project managers, Program managers, PMO... Cost is about 3/4 of an ITIL fulfiller.
• Analyst: A very expensive role, that should only be relevant for CFO.

Of course you need to confirm this with your account manager.

As a bonus, the Test Management App is wonderful for managing UAT.
