knowledgebase access

Hi Guys,

Hope you can direct me right Direction.

I am trying to setup a KB called "Test ABC" which is only accessible to selected few users from a Group "Test" in Washington ServiceNow instance.

I created a user Criteria for this Group called "Test" to be able to read and contribute to the KB "Test ABC".

When i am running a User Criteria Diagnostic to check if other users have access to "Test ABC" KB, i noticed users in Service Desk group could still see the KB. As per diagnostic Users in Service Desk group could see the KB because they were knowledge base owner, manager, or admin.

How would i restrict users from example Service Desk group from accessing this KB i have created?

Does it needs to be scripted in user criteria?

Just to mention here i have tried few things like creating a user criteria for "Service Desk" group and added group to cannot read and cannot contribute access to the Test ABC" KB as well but Service Desk user were still able to see the Test ABC" KB.

Expectation here is to restrict the KB to few users in Test Group only as KB will hold important articles.

Hoping for some corrective feedback from the community.

Thanks

Sandeep
