I want approval groups field to be unlocked by default while opening/ creating a change request. I have added an attribute start_locked=false in the dictionary entry of approval group.
It's working, but the lock icon is not disappearing. I do not want the lock icon as highlighted in image below.
How to hide the lock button as well?

Hi
Unfortunately, there's no attribute or something to remove the lock icon itself. Though you could use CSS to remove it.
This is a great article on the subject and how you can manipulate individual fields:

Hi
What would be the reason for this extra lock icon appearance, I mean I have applied the same dictionary changes in other fields like Watch list/ work notes but this extra lock icon doesn't appear there, so why does it appear for a particular field alone?
Thanks,
Aishwarya.

Hi,
did you try to clear instance cache using cache.do and then logout and login again?
