Hi.
I have a project that will be going live later in the summer. My users would like to load data in the test environment and have me move it on go live day. This is fine, I can move lots of data, but the data involves attachments.
Is there a way to export attachments and import them in the production environment, without opening them one by one and manually attaching them?
in particular, we're loading software license records, and the attachments are the proof of purchase. Without the proofs, the records are just nothing.
Anyone know of a way to export attachments in bulk?

Hi Tom.
That seems like a good way to handle it for just 'some' articles. My issue turned out to be not just moving stuff from test to prod, but also bulk imports in general.
I saw over on SNC Guru that he's written a custom doodad to 'force' records into an update set that don't usually get captured in update sets as well. Not sure if that would be grabbing the attachments too, haven't tried it. That might also be applicable to your issue, since you could specifically push the button on 'this record' but not capture them all generally.

Does this work for KBA's that have images stored in the image library instead of just as attachments?

Did you get the answer? I am also doing the same thing. I need to bulk load 4000 articles which are having images to new service now instance.
